You will be able to network with other writers, purchase books from the book tables, and ask questions of the presenters and coordinate with other attendees.

  How can I register?

Registration is easy!
You can register online using the
Online Registration Form and pay by using PayPal.
You can also register by mailing in a
Paper Registration Form with your check or money order.

Why is February 19, 2018 important?

February 19, 2018 is the cutoff date for the "Early Registration" discount. The cost will increase by $10 for any registration completed online or postmarked after that date. This increase also applies to any registration at the door (if space is available). This is also the deadline for submitting an entry for the writing contests.

Will there be any writing contests?

YES! There will be two writing contests for registrants at the 2018 Mid-Winter Writers Conference. One will be for poetry and one for prose. The complete writing contest rules can be viewed HERE. Be sure to note the due date for submissions is received by February 15, 2018!

I am a published author. Can I sell my books at the Conference?

Yes. However, there will be a limited number of “Author Tables” for those of you who want to have your books available. We will provide the tables at no charge, but you MUST let us know in advance. Note it on your mail-in registration; or if you register online, send us an email to harry@ritamoritz.com. There is limited space for tables, so they will be reserved on a first-request basis. Electricity MAY be available but to only a very few spaces. Setting up and manning your table area throughout the Conference remain your responsibility.  The venue will open at 7:30 a.m. on February 24th for authors to setup their book table areas. Authors are responsible for collecting their own sales tax.

Important Note: These book tables are for the use of authors to display and sell ONLY their own books. These tables are not for offering other services or products, even if those services or products might relate to writers or writing.

I have requested a table space. May I bring someone along with me to take care of my table?

Yes. However, ALL Conference attendees, including people “taking care of” or “manning” your table area must register and pay the applicable conference registration fee.

Will the Conference notes be available online later?

No. Initially, we thought we would put notes or outlines from the workshop sessions online. However, due to individual copyright constraints we will not able to do this. Some presenters may make their own presentation notes available online. We apologize for any inconvenience.

What happens if I need to cancel my registration?

If you cancel your registration for any reason on or before February 19, 2018, we will refund your payment, minus a $10 processing fee. There will be no refunds for any registrations cancelled after February 19, 2018.

If I have registered and cannot attend, can I transfer my registration to someone else?

Yes. However, please let us know ASAP if is this situation arises.

What are the rules for each of the two Conference Writing Contests?

The rules for the two writing contests are set out in THIS .pdf GRAPHIC. Be sure to note the due date for submissions is received by February 15, 2018 !
